Choosing and buying

Choosing an IPTV provider in Ireland

Every provider says they are the best one. That claim is unfalsifiable and therefore useless. What is useful is a short list of questions that any honest provider can answer in a sentence โ€” and that a dodgy one will dodge.

The short answer

Judge an IPTV provider in Ireland on seven answerable questions: how many streams run at once, what resolutions are actually delivered, whether a programme guide is included, which devices are named, how support is reached, whether every price is published, and what content the provider holds rights to. Vagueness on the last one is the one to walk away from.

Worth knowing

  • A provider that publishes every price for every term has less room to move the goalposts later.
  • Ask directly what content is licensed. The quality of the answer tells you more than any review page.
  • Be wary of prices that undercut the market for premium sport by an order of magnitude โ€” rights cost real money.

Seven questions worth asking

  1. How many streams at once? A number, not "multiple". Ours: 2 on Basic, up to 5 on Premium.
  2. Which resolutions, on which channels? "Everything in 4K" is not a real answer. Most live channels anywhere are Full HD.
  3. Is there a programme guide? Without an EPG you have a channel list, not a TV service.
  4. Which devices, specifically? A named list beats "works on all devices". Ours names 13.
  5. How do I reach you when something breaks? Channel, language, and rough hours.
  6. Are all prices published? If the price only appears after you hand over details, that is a choice they made.
  7. What content do you hold rights to? The single most important question, and the one most often dodged.

Signals worth walking away from

  • Advertising Premier League, GAA or Sky-branded content at a fraction of the market rate.
  • No answer, or a deflection, when you ask what is licensed.
  • The same site design appearing under a new domain every few months.
  • "Lifetime access" or "100% uptime" โ€” neither is a claim anyone can stand behind.
  • Reviews with no verifiable source. We publish none for exactly this reason.

How we answer our own checklist

Every price for both plans and all six terms is on the products page, not behind an enquiry form. Stream limits appear beside each plan. The 13 supported devices are listed individually. Support runs over WhatsApp because setup questions are faster to resolve with screenshots than over a phone call. Our position on licensing is set out on the content rights page, and we would rather lose a sale than fudge it.

Questions people ask

Is a dearer provider a better provider?

Not reliably. Price tracks marketing spend as much as server quality. Stream count, guide quality and whether anyone answers when a channel drops are better predictors.

How many providers should I compare?

Three is plenty, provided you ask all three the same questions. Comparing more without a consistent checklist just adds noise.

Why does IrelandIPTV not display customer reviews?

Because we have no independently audited review base. Publishing a number we cannot substantiate would be misleading, so we publish the hard facts instead โ€” plans, prices, limits and devices.
